How Many Years Should Hepa Filter Be Replaced

How Many Years Should Hepa Filter Be Replaced

Coarse and fine filters are primarily used to condition very small particles in industrial applications such as medicine, food, microelectronics, biotechnology, nuclear facilities, and to clean the air from high pollutants.

Hepa filter replacement period varies between 6 months and 1 year. The filters are changed according to the contamination pressure measurement, which does not change depending on the time. The filter change pressure is usually at least twice the clean filter pressure at nominal flow. The exchange pressure of a hepa filter with an initial pressure of 150Pa is 300Pa. However, when we look at the dimensions in our country, there are hepa filter systems whose initial pressure was designed incorrectly since the project and whose installation was not completed. In such cases, when purchasing a hepa filter filter, you should specify the air flow to be passed through the filter and state that you want to buy a low pressure starter filter from the manufacturer or the filter seller.

Things to Consider While Buying a Hepa Filter
It would be much more accurate to prefer aluminum cased hepa filters instead of MDF casing HEPA filters, which can crack over time depending on usage. Hepa filters can be damaged very quickly during transportation and assembly. To avoid such situations, you can choose wireframe protected hepa filters. Before buying a filter, you should check the project and inform the person you bought the filter about the amount of air taken according to the design of the hepa filter and buy a filter with a suitable filter starting pressure. If you buy a hepa filter by paying attention to these and some similar points, you can use the filters for a long time and you will not have any problems.

What are HEPA Filter Types?
It is aimed to keep the environment clean thanks to high efficiency filtration. There are some types of HEPA filters. These;

Ceiling Type Hepa Filter: Ceiling type HEPA filters with high efficiency ensure the protection of people, equipment and processes against airborne particle contamination.
Ceiling Type Hepa Filter with Gel Fill Gasket: Pollution is reduced thanks to the filter that provides protection against airborne particle contamination.
High-Capacity Hepa Filter Flat Pleated: This filter, which is used at high airflow rates and has high performance thanks to its filter surface area, ensures that the air is not polluted.
High-Capacity Hepa Filter V-Module: It is a long-lasting filter group that can be used even at the highest air flow rates where the largest filter area is used and saves energy.
Hood Filter: Thanks to this highly efficient and self-enclosed filter, it provides protection against particulate contamination from equipment, people and processes.
Nuclear Hepa Filter: With its durable construction with a large surface area, it provides reliable filtering with a special filter media compared to HEPA filters, which are standard in applications with more risky pollutants.
Compact Hepa Filter with Aluminum Separator: It is a filter group that can operate even at high temperatures thanks to its production technology and is frequently preferred in risky environments.

Is HEPA Filter Washable With Water
HEPA filters have accordion structures. At the same time, since they are paper-based, they can accumulate bacteria when not completely dried. Therefore, it is not recommended to wash with water. Instead, you can empty this part in the trash or brush
